When Moles Become a Concern

There are some of us who are prone to being mole people. All that I mean by this is that you are prone to having moles pop up in random places on your body. It is somewhat similar for those people who are prone to getting freckles or who already have freckles on their face, etc. While moles help to define who we are, they can sometimes be annoying- and in extreme cases, they can be deadly.

The Hype Behind Cellulite

Cellulite is the bane of existence for most women- just ask them, and I am positive that most women will have a story to tell. Unfortunately, cellulite is a skin condition that tends to mostly affect women (why are men so lucky?). When cellulite occurs, it usually makes its appearance where the skin of the lower limbs, stomach area and/or pelvic area are. It is characterized by those unsightly dimples or ripples in the skin that you often see on people who have a little bit of fat. However, cellulite can and does occur on people who are very thin- even athletes aren't immune!

Why Breakfast May Be the Most Important Meal of the Day

As a personal trainer in Balaclava, one of the most common conversations I have with clients is about breakfast. If you are trying to optimise your weight loss, muscle gains, as well as your physical and mental performance throughout the day, a very simple yet overlooked factor may be to just start eating a good breakfast every morning. Breakfast was given its name because you are literally “breaking the fast” from the last 8 or so hours you have been sleeping. This is the reason it's often said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Let me just state clearly that for the purpose of this article, breakfast is counted as the meal you eat within 45 minutes of getting up in the morning, breakfast is not counted as just the first meal of the day.

The Hype Behind Diet Drinks

There are many diet drinks and other low calorie beverages available to people to make them think that by drinking these beverages alone, somehow it will help them to lose the weight that they have been trying for so hard to lose. Wrong. In fact, many of these so-called diet drinks that are out there on the market are nothing but sugar, water and food coloring (as well as a list of names that none of us can pronounce). So, if this is the case, then why do we continue to torture ourselves into drinking them?
